CEHRD is a rurally-based and focused non-profit organisation founded by conservationists, environmentalists, activists, and health workers. CEHRD was formed to respond to the environmental, human rights, health and development needs of communities in the Niger Delta.

CEHRD's goal is to serve as a bridge between the rural communities of Nigeria and their rights, by empowering them through education and assistance.

CEHRD works with communities to:

  • Re-vegetate degrade mangrove swamps in Ogoni, Rivers State polluted by oil spills.
  • Carry out awareness workshops on HIV / AIDS
