Training in Community Governance and Leadership

What: Training in Community Governance and Leadership for community leaders

Where: Otuasega and Erema communities, Rivers state

Why: Both communities experienced conflicts over their leadership between traditional rulers and Community Development Committees and were in urgent need of such a training

Outcome: The two days training gathered all community stakeholders. The participants learnt what good leadership entails. During interactive sessions they discussed the practice of leadership in their communities. Those sessions helped them to realize that they all had failed as leaders. They also came up with a work plan and discussed and assigned new leadership roles to themselves.
